The Power of Reflection
Reflection isn’t about how fast we achieve our goals, but how well we achieve them and how we feel throughout the process. It's about pausing, taking stock of where we are, and appreciating how far we’ve come. By reflecting, we recognise what we’ve already accomplished, opening up space for growth and change.
When we balance action with reflection, we avoid investing too much time in things that aren’t moving us forward. Change takes time, and reflection is a powerful tool to reveal that progress over time.
During my time at Life Coach School, I developed a habit of reflecting for just 5 minutes each morning and evening. This practice helped me set intentions for the day and reflect on my experiences at night. Below is a list of questions I used. Try incorporating them into your daily routine and see how your mindset and intentions shift over time. I challenge you to try this for a week and notice how you feel by the end.
Morning Reflection
What are three things I’m grateful for?
What are the five most important tasks that will make today great?
What is the ONE most important thing I must accomplish today?
Evening Reflection
What did I actually achieve today?
What did I learn today?
What’s something positive about the challenges I faced today?
What am I feeling right now? (Drill down five times to uncover the real reason.)
What are three amazing things that happened today?
What’s one thing I could have done to make my day better?
Reflecting on challenges and victories alike brings clarity to your present life and guides future decisions. Give yourself the gift of time to reflect and watch how it transforms your journey. 🌱
